Maybe it’s just me and the type of men that I attract, but my last two boyfriends have been so very childish I’m starting to consider women (well, maybe not). I know that everyone has that moment of immaturity and reverts back to childhood antics in order to get their way or some attention, but these men that I’m speaking of far exceed “2 year-old temper tantrum” whenever they felt they weren’t getting enough of my attention and far exceed “2 year-old attention span” when it comes to sitting still.
The former bf would text me back-to-back with a numerous amount of ???s if I didn’t respond to his very first text message “(of the day that is) quick enough for him. After a couple of ???s he would send the phrase (or sound, rather) ugh. Well when I would finally get around to responding he would be angry. Like literally angry as if I’d just taken the last of his Oreo cookies or murdered his goldfish.
The current is constantly moving. Whether he be stretching or actually getting up and walking (to nowhere in particular, mind you) he’s in a constant state of motion. The only time he’s still is when he is sleeping. To make matters worse he’s a big fella (he’s about 6ft tall and 200+ lbs) so it’s not like you don’t notice him and that he can move around without disturbing anyone else.
And just recently (yesterday to be exact) after church (which are both members of) I had to jet out to get dressed for a wedding that I was in and so I didn’t get an opportunity to speak to him. So he texts me bout 5 minutes after I’d left and says, “…you didn’t speak or say hi to me after church, whats up with that? That’s kinda cold..” Now any normal man would have said to himself, “hmm she’s got that wedding to get dressed for, I’ll just catch her later“, or something to that extent, but not this one. He decides that not only would he get mad and pout via text message but once the wedding was over and we were at the reception, he would pout and have an attitude when I finally got a chance to speak to him: “oh so NOW you wanna talk to me?” SMH
I’m just so over men that I have to babysit emotionally.
